We are now a full week into the Last 90 Days challenge and let me tell you! I have been challenged. There are a lot of things swirling in my brain, but the biggest thing that has smacked me in the face is that I was made for MORE! I am still not entirely sure what that MORE will look like, but I know that it is there! I know that God will continue to reveal Himself to me in what He has in store for me!
But one of the biggest things that He has revealed to me is that I have a message. I have a message that is specifically for kids... kids ages twelve through to twenty... and yes, a twenty year old is STILL a kid!
That message is this!
YOU ARE VALUED! You are important to this world, and there is someone who cares about your struggles... and someone who cares about YOU!
School work is HARD!
Friendships are HARD!
Relationships in general are HARD!
Navigating your stupid hormones... now that's HARD...
But this time of your life... It is just a teenie part of your existance. It seems like this is the beginning of the end, but it is NOT! It is just the beginning.
But there are so many things that you can learn in this beginning.
When you are a baby, you have to learn how to walk, talk, and do basic skills, like using the toilet.
When you are a child you learn how to ride a bike, exist with other children, read, write, do math.
When you are a teenager you are learning how to drive a car, how to work at a job, how to be successful as an adult. These are things you LEARN! You don't just wake up one day, and magically know how to be an adult.
How to budget.
How to meal plan
How to grocery shop
How to apply for a mortgage
How to be assertive in getting what you want for your life.
How to freaking figure out what you want for your life! I am 34 years old and I JUST figured that out... kinda...
These are all things that you have to learn. You don't just figure them out overnight!
So, this is what I'm going to do. I am going to write about some of these things. And make them relevant for teens, and young adults.
I am passionate about teaching kids... I am passionate about pouring into kids and helping them navigate the HARD!
