Old Habits Die Hard

Well, it is hard to admit, but old habits do die hard.

It is only 2 days until Jenni starts school and 5 days until I turn 30. I am 12 lbs. down from my starting weight and have managed to keep my finances on the right path. I have been working on my "fruit of the spirit" bible study and am learning so much h about God and myself.

HOWEVER...

House work has become a difficult task in some instances... And mornings... Forget it!!!

The thing about the housework is that when I actually just stop being stupid and do it I feel so much better about everything and it hardly takes any time at all. It is just getting up and doing it because, well, it isn't that big a deal. It is just that my old mind set of not caring has been edging its way back into my consciousness. As my good friend, Mark, said yesterday, people get motivated for a while and then that motivation kind of loses its appeal. (He also accused me of getting said motivation because of my 30th birthday.)

So, I am determined to not be a statistic and make changes in my life because I am turning 30 and then lose that motivation before it makes a positive change in my life that sticks (even into my 40's)

So, it is now time to get off my phone, turn on some awesome music and get to some house work!!!! Here's to a start of a whole new week!
