Round 2... FIGHT!

So, this morning I took Maria to the Emergency Room at the local hospital... AGAIN... Because she was having a hard time breathing and her cough sounded like a dying seal.  Yuck!  I was concerned because she is so susceptible to everything that goes around.  The poor kid has almost no immune system, and even though I am constantly pumping her full of probiotics she still gets sick.

December 2013
Last year, on October 4, I took Maria in to the ER for the first of many visits.  She had a double ear infection and the first stages of Roseola.  Within that first month she had 5 ER visits... (two of which were for a bad head bump).  After that first bout of antibiotics the poor child never was able to go more than 10 days without getting a cold or a fever or some kind of sickness.  She was in and out of the ER for the next 6 months.

In May of this year my sweet Maria ended up in the hospital for two days.  Her O2 stats were down to 82%, and she couldn't eat or drink without vomiting.  She ended up on Oxygen for both days, and a horrible little IV.  It was one of the scariest times of my life as a mama.  It wasn't until I started Maria on probiotics that she started getting better.

After that stay in the Hospital, Maria did get better, and stayed better throughout the whole summer.
Maria in the Hospital in May, 2014

On October 9, this year, Maria and Jenni went to the hospital to get their throats swabbed for strep throat.  Both came back negative... HOWEVER... the next day Maria got a crazy fever.  It broke the first night, but then come saturday morning my darling dear daughter had spots all over her face, arms, bum, and legs.  It turned out that Maria had "Hand, foot and mouth".  It was no surprise because the disease just so happened to be going around town and so it was bound to happen.  :-(

Well, just this morning my darling dear girl had an O2 level of 93% when we got to the ER and then after one does of her blue puffer it went up to 98%... phew that we dodged that mess again... So, girly is having to take her puffers regularly and has to take it easy for the next few days.

SO... Basically, prayer for strength for Maria and also for mommy would be awesome because I don't think either of us can go through another year like last year.  Thus far germs have won these first two rounds, but with the help of probiotics, Thieves Oil, cleaning like nobodies business, and lots of sleep I think we can make it.

BRING IT ON GERMS!!!!!
